China rejects Obama's comments on China's influence during his farewell address

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Lu Kang has dismissed outgoing US President Barack Obama's comments on China's international influence. Obama said during his farewell address that China and Russia's international influence won't surpass that of the United States unless Washington gives up what it stands for. Lu said at a press conference that Beijing's emphasis is more on how to contribute to the international community rather than influencing other countries.
