Barack Obama calls for unity in farewell speech

Barack Obama went back to where his political career was born, the city of Chicago, to make his final speech as US president.

Speaking to thousands of his supporters, the outgoing president recalled his successes and admitted setbacks.

He urged the crowd to become more active to protect American values.
